Being active in twitter made me loosing touch to blogger :/ so i shall use the twitter style to update a short one before i head into my comfy zone

Today marks the second day of work with uob as a so trainee
Training will last for these 2 weeks starting from today; enjoying myself as it brings me back to the good old lecture days
Ytd was such a bad first day of work; down with very bad bad headache & staring at the com screen for 4 consecutive hrs
Classroom trainings held at tamp uob training center & on the job training at serangoon gdn branch
Met nice ppl ard to accompany me for trainings & lunches & tea breaks
I've got a feeling once i start working from 9to6, dressed up formally, those fats are coming back. remind me of my bdp days. GOSH! i dont want them back!!
Started using the lovely bag that beloved mum gave on my 21st, accompanying me to work. loving it ttm!
Darl having a short hols next week, oh yeah! that means more time we spent tgt
Today trainer chris kept repeating "are you with me?", when all along we were all with you listening attentively to you. But she's great.
Loves planning meet ups with bestie roan & pals, looking forward to mooncake bbq gathering, countdown party & the long awaited overseas trip next year!
Just received a bad news from darl that he has guard duty this fri. boohoooooo
Its close to 11, time to hit the sack.

I realise i have been forgetting about my little space here, wafflewab. Life have been pretty good lately, with lots of happenings and the YOG fever is here in singapore. YOG posters are up everywhere, theme song from my teevee everyday, reminders to give way to YOG vehicles, darl snapping YOG scanias, etc etc. it sort of touches my heart when i see the grand opening on sat night, gives a little goosebumps feel, probably really proud of singapore & being a singaporean. way to go Darren! that moment of torch being light up was really significant.

Alrighty, time for some looking back. Sis Ting's hse warming is at last here! Been to their cosy little cove, and i can say though it may be small, but its a nice place to have for the love birds. starting to get envy, the kind of freedom you can get, so nice. hope roan&alvin's application would be successful this time round. Heading back to sis's place very soon for foodie & fun!

Right after Ting's housewarming, invited sisqin to follow us to the cutie pies birthdays celebration. Had a great time "baby sitting" all the kids, they are really really cute! I must admit my energy level deplete much much faster than they do, getting old. boohoo.

The YOG torch relay is getting round singapore and its here today at north east area! and apparently, it passes by my house. set my alarm clock in time to head downstairs to give my little support. sadly, it was raining cats and dogs at that point of time. but the flame is still burning brightly as the torch bearer runs pass. YOOOHOOOO!

lovely bf gets his well deserved off for close to a week off after helping out at ndp 2010. Shopped at tamp ikea, courts, giant and to audio house that evening. Bought pots of lovely roses for mum and con, and an artificial one for my room! i badly need to clear my room clean & neat, redecorate my space, before i have no more time for all these after stepping into my next stage. plus, darl got his hifi set for his dad. i bet the samsung sound system is really great!

oh, and pulled dad to audio house the very next day to get a teeeveeee! time to get rid of the old bulky one stuck on my console table. & it arrives ytd! YIPEEEEEEE (: enjoying that visuals!!!

Off to wild wild wet! sadly didnt managed to take any photos in there. But surprisingly many ppl are investing in waterproofed cameras now! it has been sooooo many donkey years ever since we stepped into this place, so it feels fresh. wet & wild & fun!

the tai tais are off to watch the YOG! teeheee! dragged bestie roan with me to watch the swimming tournament! wanted to watch gymnatics and diving, but tickets were ALL sold out! argh! so the next interested category would be swimming! it goes really exciting when a singaporean is in the pool and the whole SS goes crazy "SIN-GA-PORE!! SIN-GA-PORE!!" those pri sch kids seated behind us really shout their hearts, or maybe lungs out! haha.

Congras to Rainer ng! looking forward to who is getting the first gold medal for singapore! (:

Pre-Birthday celebration for Xueyi & Xinhui. Time flies, it feels like last week we attended their 21st bd bash at chalets last year. we're turning 22!!

Thanks the great recommendation from alvin, we found this nice italian restaurant. accompanied by good food, reasonable price, great ambience & super friendly staffs. what can you ask for (:

the bread is really nice nice! they came with olive oil / butter. i was so busy taking photos, while enjoying the bread.

Pizzas!!! the thin crust pizzas are great! they are tasty cos the flavouring is good! and the crust is very crispy. loving it!

that's our Spaghetti & Meatballs. they are meant for sharing; 4-6 people. hmm.. not really a fan of meatballs, so cant comment much. but the spaghetti is not that fantastic.

Cake cutting session time! the manager just came to our table and asked us "are you guys ready for the cake to be served?" i was totally stunned. cos supposed to be a surprise for them. but didnt know they were efficient.

BUT really nice of the staffs to bring out the cake nicely with lighted candles and even live music. they taught us to sing happy birthday in italian style and they played the tambourine along while we sang. a hyper grp of staffs along with e crazy bunch of us. we sure did attracted alot of attention that night!

Non stop action of poloriods that night! when i saw xinhui taking it out of her bag, i was high already. HAHA

time flies, 2 years passed when my family trip to Hokkaido in 2008. It has been one of my favourite places so far!! Sure to go back there again if possible. THUMBS UP! weeks before the trip, Connie recommended me lots of nice food place and things to buy back. & she's also a lover of Jap cruisine like me! & she mentioned abt a ramen place which is a must to go. I managed to find it, but my tour grp didnt plan to have a meal there. so sad, so just took a photo of the shop as our tour bus leaves from there.

The ramen is round the corner of this famous shop which everyone who has been to Hokkaido would know. I rem my family bought 2 huge boxes of stuff from here. teeheee (:

There were choices for us on the texture of the ramen, to be softer or harder. All of us choice the default normal ones. & i love it!!! Both soup base were DDDDelicious!

its really hilarious whenever 1 bowl of ramen arrives on the table and the 4 of us uses all our camera to take pictures of the food. I guess the next table must think we're some food critique or crazy bunch of ppl. But guess it has been smth we already use to (:

Food reviews recommended that their rare cheese cake is a MUST TRY! Yes indeed. i was afraid of the milky taste initially. But luckily there wont. Rich taste of cheese and lemon = Yorgurt. the texture is like a curd rather than a cake. so we named it "cheesecurd topped with sweetened chashew nuts"

Though the price is rather steep for a bowl of ramen, ard $15 per bowl. But I'll be back for more, being a jap crusine lover cum soupy noodle lover. teeeeheee. Connie, do go try it if you have not ya! (:

After which, went to ion b4 for mango desserts. their fresh mangoes are as usual super sour, but overall still refreshing.

Today.
After a good swim with roan at sk sports hall, went to compass for a Jack's place set lunch. Yummy! Roan had sirloin steak with cheese & mushroom sauce while i had grilled boneless chicken with sambal sauce. The set lunch include minestrone soup, tea & a scoop of icecream. How fattening can this lunch be :/

Few saturdays back, had a date with darl to have breakfirst at Rangoon road's famous Ng Ah Sio Pork Ribs Soup. Delicious & fulfilling breakfirst for us! Darl cant stop praising abt how nice the vegetables were :x haha. though the soup was alittle too peppery for me, but overall its still nice (:

Managed to pull myself out of bed early in the morning today for the BIG WALK! Weather was perfectly good for the walk. As expected, there were tonnes of ppl out there, 20,000 if im not wrong. Nice to see everyone getting up early in the morning walking tgt!

Fantastic day spent at Marina Barage today! Special surprise guest, Davian is with us! Supposed to give SisQin & Dennis a surprise, but failed! Bumped into them when i brought davian to the toilet. argh! Mission failed. But still Davian's appearance sure brought up the liveliness!

It was a crowded friday evening, limited space... ...
1. SisQin's kite string was cut by another string, and the kite flew off. its no where to be found :(
2. my kite was stuck the lift rooftop :(
3. Frisbee flew down from the rooftop right down into the sea. also no where to be found :(

BUTTTT... we had Great weather, great company, good food for a picnic! Not forgeting camwhoring too. It was sure an unforgetful day for us!! loves loves!

Lunched at Crystal Jade Korean Ginseng Chicken & BBQ. We had the set lunch. Its indeed cheap & good! Wasnt feeling very well that day, so i had soupy noodle. Deeeelicious! simply made my day. The rest had hot plate chicken & beef, they tasted surdup too!

Afterwhich, window shopped ard & decided we should sit down, drink coffee, and chit chat! Settled down at Bakerzin Paragon (((: Nice cakes, Good coffee, and Great company

SisQin, Dennis & I signed up for NUS Paint A Home XI event, & we're here today at Happy Lodge to do community work. Our group was incharged to paint level 1 & 2 of the staircase. Though its kind of hot staying inside for so many hours, but guessed we did enjoyed ourselves. We started from putting newspaper, pasting tapes, to painting, to clearing up. It was indeed much work & very tiring! haha. We also had to mingle with the old folks and play games with them, but i think the game we were assigned to, doesnt fit the old folks, which was treasure hunt :/
But still, it feels good to do some community work once in a while. & its like a whole day work out exercise for us (:

Holidays holidays holidays, of cos its the time where you can do anything you want & anything you feel like (: Saw an adver on tv regarding tickets to 我要唱下去 recording, so emailed them & we got the tickets. It was a big grp of us gathered at mediacorp with mum, darl, SisQin, kathy, peisi, aunt jane & jasmine (: Though the recording was abit draggy, but was quite entertaining. The guest stars on that day were Dasmond Koh, Calvin Soh & Daren Tan, all 3 looks good & can sing well! Good Job! $5000 to the charity (:

Its ard 5 to 6 years ago ever since my last trip to malacca, during my secondary sch days?? Cant really rem. But this time is a total different experience! My family is driving down to malacca tgt with dav,clau & family! It is a non stop action with davian & claudette! love those 2 little cutie pies!!

We did lots of eating & shopping as usual! though its a 2 day 1 night trip, we tried 3 types of chendol there, & of course the famous chicken rice. Shop at the new shopping malls, and of cos Jonker Street & the night flea market at jonker.

Crispy Yummy Puffs

Attempted curry puffs & non spicy puffs (for the kids) with constance one random night. She saw this ready made dough which sells in NTUC from a magazine and decided to give it a try. the crust really tasted super yummy & crispy!! Though its kind of shortcut, but it saves lots lots of time & most importantly, its super nice nice!! my Dad ate 5 at one shot. haha!

i was really bad at folding a proper shape of a curry puff!! attempted some but the shape is really kind of weird. & i ended up being the one who roll, and cut out the dough shapes while she wraps. & besides that, these puffs are baked, not fried! much healthier! The baking process take a long time though, so both our ovens worked tgt till ard 11pm++, close to midnight! HAHA.

But they are sure great breakfirst for the next day for both our families (:

Supposed to conquer the National Vertical Marathon with darl in the lovers' challenge today. but sadly, he has to book in early in the afternoon today. argh! But luckily, i was allowed to bring any of my girl friends along, so i asked sisQin along (:

63 storeys to conquer. it was really a great sense of satisfactory for both of us. Cheer & motivated sisQin along the way, really scared smth might happen to her. But brave her, she managed to reach the sumit too! Good Job good job!!

STRONG Telepathy. we both thought of heading to Thomson for prata today! so without second thought, we drove there and had a fulfilling brunch. Swallowed the disappointment we had last night, supposed to meet him but failed. Argh!

Afterwhich we headed to Suntec Carrefour cos dear wanted to get vacuum & a storage box for the car. Really hope that 12v vacuum works well, keep fingers crossed. teehee. walked the whole stretch of suntec & quite surprising there was not much ppl despite its sat. where has all the ppl gone to? Settled down at Gelare for waffles!! it has been so long ever since we last had Gelare waffles! we used to head down for waffles at Hg mall many Tues for that half price waffle during the good old school days, but nt ever since he's enlisted. hee. they still tasted uhmm uhmm yum yum!! SLURPS!

Attended BF musical "Expectations" with mum, sisQin & Dennis last night. Its quite a nice musical but i tink the last years one was better. Though it may be a very emotional one, but guess it stirs out thoughts & experiences we undergo in some ways or how.

"Expect the unexpected" is the key phrase repeated again and again throughout. I guess its quite true. With expectations, it will lead to more disappointments if your expectations are not met (:

You must be wondering how romantic & sweet this bus can be right. HAHA. but sweet & romantic was the theme of nizzy's 21st birthday.
Brought darl to tian tian chicken rice that day, & he had to agree that the food is superb! was quite shock that he didnt know abt this store at maxwell market, cos he seems to know everything abt nice good food. that's partly the reason for my size now :/ HAHA.
we headed to marina sq for a walk tat day cos he wanted to take a photo of this new bus which just started on sv on that day. but what's funnie abt this photo was all his friends spotted him there and started smilling cheek to cheek, twisting and ready for his shot. hahaha. so comical!

Yep, darl sent me to nize's 21st party after which, at Cosa Rosa condo (her sis's place). It was themed sweet and romantic, and the venue turned out really sweet & romantic! those tiffany coloured deco & cake was really nice! We all did enjoyed ourselves despite the hot hot weather. teehee!

Met up with my uni friends for dinner & drink at PennyBlack. First time there, quite a nice place to chill. Managed to catch up with everyone and we're all talking abt finding jobs and bitch abt our lecturers etc etc. im still proud to say that im enjoying my tai tai life as for now. but a poor budget tai tai la :/ still looking for a suitable job though, but as for now, i shall enjoy my holidays (:

it was indeed a nightmare that day. u'll never know how trarumatised i was. but luckily sisQin is there with me. i felt so uncomfortable the whole afternoon and time seems to move super duper slow that day. ARGH! i hope i never get such a "surprise" again in my life. you're a nice guy, but u're making me hate you if u continue to be like tat, really really fearful of you. step back pls.

but really thankful & fortunate that sisQin happen to head to the same place as i supposed to go on the exact day. maybe its really faith, an arrangement like tat. Had dinner & shopped ard IMM with sisqin & mum after that.

BAKING!!!

oh yeah!! i'm always excited whenever it comes to baking!! SisQin & Max came over to my hse for baking sessions and we sure did learnt alot from each other. I can say they 2 are really good cooks, lots to learnt from them still.

Max prepared lunch for us! Baked Salmon! Slurps! He taught us how he did it, it sounded quite simple, but have to try it before i really know. i will sure try it someday! cos it's simply delicious! teehee!!

It was indeed lots of baking that day! we attempted:
1. Apple pie - 9/10 stars!! Its really deliciously yum yum!!

2. Banana walnut muffin - Though its from a ready-made pack, but maybe using the wrong oven tray, the bottom of all the muffins turned BLACK! sob sob. but 6 successful muffins tasted nice!!

3. Char siew pau - Constance attempted char siew pau that day. so we went over to take a look and learnt from her. didnt expect we can also make paus which looks quite nice for some. only till tat day i found out that yeast really stinks! wahaha.

Happy Mummy Day

it was really sweet of davian. in the late morning, he came shouting out "MARILYN JIE JIE" at my door. and when i opened the door, he say he has smth for my mummy. i doubled confirmed with him "my mummy?!?!?" He went breakfirst with his family and passed by Daiso and saw some flowers and told his mum tat he wans to get it for aunty(my mum). i was super touched and of cos is my mum. Davian is really a very thoughful and sensible boy!

Afterwhich, we went to the Helix Bridge and the Marina Bay Sands. Shall let the photos do the talking (: it was indeed quite a long long walk to and fro. Afterwhich, tummy started to feel hungry and mum suggested we go eat tian tian chicken rice at Joo Chiat road. They serve really nice chicken rice and other side dishes (:

kept receiving the pizzahut advertisement that is send to my hse almost twice a week, tempting me to try the new crunch pizza! it looks super appetitising!! but to prevent myself from getting heaty or fall sick during the crucial exam period, i managed to tahan till after exams! heehee

we were super hungry that afternoon tat it only took us like less than a min to look at the menu and ordered what we wanted. Slurps!

& ya, went to one of my fav places, tamp ikea! darl wanted to get a comfy huggable tingy to his camp after seeing one of his bunk mate got one. training is tough in there, bet he did enjoyed bedtime even more and more feels more homely in camp.

Yep, stopped my routine to wake up 630 in the morning to head to office everyday. School reopens the second day today. Everything is quite alright, just have to adjust my mood back to the study mode. shall enjoy my last semester of studies before i step into the working world and work till i retire! :s

My room was undergoing some major construction, or rather spring cleaning, since last monday. now i can say it is 98% done. Threw away bags & bags of rubbish, and gave away some clothes to make way for new clothes! Great sense of satisfactory!

alex popped me a qns today. "What am i going to do after graduate?" i answered "i duno". he asked "Want to join me to take MASTERS?"

This qns actually kept me thinking on the way back hm till now. i didnt thought of a Masters immediately after my degree cos i always thought that they require a least few years of working experience. but heard from alex that it doesnt require and its a two year course that cost a bomb, Masters in Finance. That's a really BIG word. My initial thought was to work first. either in the banking industry or in event-management companies, its a choice between my course of study or my interest. asked ard and got different suggestions. & i was tinking to apply for both, depending on opportunities at that point of time and let fate decide on my route onto where to go for the next few years. i never know i may fall in love working in banks, unless i tried. If a Masters would give me a better job advancement/prospect or higher pay, i'll sure go for it. So maybe its a matter of time, now or later or maybe not. my dad hopes i could continue my studies. Alright, i shall see.

today is the last day of 2009 already! all i can say is time really flies! its another new year coming up. 2009 was an exciting and meaningfull year for me. its the year of another stepping stone, my next step of life. started university life at SIM, and its goin to end in june 2010. i guess i really love studying compared to working life, going to enjoy my last semester. of course made new friends in uni, many hyper loving friends from all walks of life, but sad to say one that is a sore in the eye. that proj was really a major construction underwent, really unforgettable experience for me though, i guess for all of us right, maties?

This is the year where kenny darl n feng started serving the nation, life definately changed for them. Guess both of them had a hard time getting use at the start. but i can feel tat darl is much happier once he gets out of bmt although he landed in 3rd guards. as for feng, he's still struggling, but hopefully he will get use to it. jia you! This is also the year where i passed my driving! did get chances to drive my family around. & in 2 months time, i can drive without the P plate!

2009 was a year where all the 1988 dragon babies' 21st birthdays! attended many, from big parties to small ones and even surprises. its also like a gathering for many of us where we get to catch up with friends from primary/sec/poly though we seldom get to see each other. lots of nice memories were stired up, and it feels great to think of those days where we had lots of chilhood & schooling fun. Though my bd wasn't celebrated in a blast, but i sure do enjoyed all the meet ups and surprises by u guys!

last but not least, as usual, i want to thank every single one of my family members and friends who walked through my life together with me. I am really really happy and lucky to know all of you guys, u all sure did add lots of colours to my life! a BIG THANKS to my beloved family/relatives, kenny darl, roan/xh/xueyi & bfs & rick, THIRTHEEN, eunice/yanyan/weegek, NV band peeps, SIM cliques, bdp colleagues, and U! for making my life such a wonderful one. I'm indeed one fortunate girl (:

Im back!! missed mi?? haha.. yep, family trip to 成都/九寨沟/峨眉山. i can say this trip was fantasic. Its more of a sight-seeing holiday than a fun filled trip. The beauty of the place is just unexplainable. How nice if i can migrate up to 九寨沟 and live with those country side peeps. Everything is just so relaxing. 九寨沟 is indeed a 人间天堂 like what the others always say. I have never thought that i could see such beautiful view on earth. every step you take gives a different sight of the place and every view is just mesmorising. though is really cold up there, but its all worth while.

Along the way, the tourguide brought us to alot of industry places or tourism shops to buy tings like cystal, pearls, med oil, etc etc. which all of us hate it, just to make us spend money. the 4 of us were like playing some psychology game with the sellers. with them trying to force us to buy tings and we on the other hand trying to get the lowest price possible just to "entertain" them. we were brought to places not found in the itinery and just realised some in the itinery we were not brought to. n btw, we got a super bad tourguide in chengdu. She's one of the worst tourguide, guess we are better off without one. oh well. But the tourguide in 九寨沟 was superb. he really used all his heart to bring us ard.

Yep, 7 nov marks the end of exams!! im like super duper happy after 5.30pm. it feels much like a bird being let out of the cage. Didnt care much abt whether i might do well or not for this paper. oh well, i jus know my results sure to drop this sem. the qns is just, drop by how much. keep fingers crossed.

Met up with mum at orchard, for shopping of course. It has been soooo long ever since i feel so good. Felt much lighter, and no more worries for exams for the time being, cos its holidays! Monday's macro paper was a total disaster. Not enough time for that 6 essays to complete, cramped up in a corner of the room with dim warm spot light, mind was nt very flexible at that point. That's it! What's one grade lower than distinction? oh, i guess is credit huh. haha.. oh well. At least i got to know the econs ancestors better now. It was totally like a writing marathon back that day. Friedman, i didnt get to complete your fooling model. New keynesian, i drew your AS curve wrongly. & the calculation qns i should score, ended up in the drain despite getting it right all the time at hm. careless careless careless! roars out loud!

& today's risk management paper. Guess its somehow less demorealising that macro paper. Did have the time to check through the whole paper. Similarly, get to find out many mistakes again! Rembered a formula wrongly, there goes all my values in the derivative market. and SPI fair value, i dont rem seeing you in my notes during that 3 hours, but rang a bell after that. & those 2 marks each mcq, here abit wrong there abit wrong though most is in the practice qns paper. oh well oh well..

Guess this would be my last post till after exams. Time seriously pass too fast, it just seems like ytd being the first lesson of my sem 2. But in fact, tml is the last lesson. and in less than 2 weeks, i will be taking the final exams. Got a strong feeling my HDs will be flying away further from me this time. Everything seems very new to me this sem, no tut done in class, and of course, things getting tougher. Just keep my fingers crossed, target for this sem is at least all Ds.

8月15 is here again! Missed those good old days where my family and childhood friends would gather round at serangoon blk 147 field or the big pond at bishan park, play with lanterns, candles, eat mooncake accompanied by the big round moon. But ya, those were the good old days.

AuntCindy brought some yummy mooncakes for us! the snowskin one is yummy. its greentea with icecream champagne in it. and for the traditional one, its custard with single yolk. but the milky taste is way too strong for me to take it :x & of cos, i only love snowskins mooncakes (:

my mum dug out all the lanterns bought over the years, and sure she do love it alot. and she suggested to hang some out at our doorstep, the lantern festival mood. haha.. but it sure looks nice. for a moment dad thought he went to the wrong doorstep when the corridor lights weren't on yet. haha..

Thurdays nite, Children's day! Dayspring kindergarden organised a lantern festival celebration at sk park. me & bro went to get into the mood with davian and family. a long time ever since we get to see huge gatherings playing lanterns and candles tgt, lighting up the whole park. The kids have handmade lantern competition and i can say many are really nice! super creative ones. Davian's lantern gt consolation prize! haha..

Singapore Poly student dies in stabbing incident in China

the whole family was shocked upon hearing this news, esp bro. He immediately called chenghua, whom was 1 of those who went to China for their aerospace course attachment, upon hearing the broadcast over news today, and was very relieved to hear that he is alright. Due to bad reception, my bro somehow heard tat chenghua was one of the nine other students who went to the karaoke lounge, but was unsure. But as long as he is alright, we are all relieved. bro's heart is still pumping like mad, even after hearing that he's alright.

Feel sorry for the victim and his family members. Hope everyone there would be alright.

We wanted to head out to search for a new set of sofa for our home, but didnt managed to find any suitable ones. So decided to head to changi airport for a walk! A good place cos we dont have to spend money. wahaha.. We simply love to see the taking off and landing of planes. But sadly to say, there was alot of construction going on at that point of time :x But still we did enjoy our time there and of cos taking lots of photos

The F1 craze is all over singapore now! and simulator was also found at T3. So dad and bro went to try it for e fun of it. but they were complaining it was kind of lag. my dad had a difficult time controlling the wheel, ending up turning rounds and rounds on the grass and sand. me and mum cant stop laughing at the side :D

It has been a lllooooooonng time ever since mr.kenny & i spent quality time tgt! So since he gt his book out and i have no sch, we decided to head for a brunch picinc at marina barrage! thank god the weather was great, or maybe a little too sunny though. haha.. but we did lots of camwhore under that great sun!

Prepared food like tuna bread, hotdog prata, juice, koko krunch etc etc. those food sure did made us super full. Gained energy to run ard, trying to take jump shots which i forced mr.kenny to do. wahaha.. its kind of weird to take jump shots with just 2 of us, compared to taking as a big group. we reached ard 1030 and stayed till ard 1230, that's the main reason why my face and limbs are as red as a monkey butt now. hopefully it will heal in a few days. & of cos to darl, its the norm. haha

Oh ya!! the canon eos really didnt fail to capture great shots! loving it to the max (:

after the picnic, we headed to orchard for shopping therapy! realised that shops changed quite alot ard as well as trend changed. haven been following up with fashion lately. haha.. we shopped til our legs die on us and decided to head for dinner at sun and moon at wheellock. its quite a nice jappy restaurant that we never been to. i have no idea why i was craving for unagi tat day. hahaha.. so of cos, i had unagi with rice & darl too! he ordered unagi rice with sashimi (:

Headed down to arab street for a stroll this afternoon (random recommendation by mum), bringin out e new member in our family, canon eos 450 :D Took these few shots which i love it! ya, that's my mum's new hairstyle which she cut ytd.

feel blessed. at last the weeks of tests and hectic timetable are over. it time to me to take a little small break before 1 huge test and 4 exams coming my way. Felt blessed in another way cos i have jus recovered from a mild h1n1. though its a common type of flu now but it still sounds scary to me as those serious cases cause deaths. it all started having a bad bad cold & runny nose e whole day on wed, & thurs came feeling slightly feverish & super tired which made me unable to study for my risk management test which is on fri. so i decided to head for the doctor for fast medication. sadly to know that i had mild h1n1, but luckily i do not have chest pains or breathing difficulties. Fri came, was having this huge dillema whether to go to school to take the test. i feel ok to take the test, but very worried that i'll contaminate the class and pass my germs to my fellow mates. but still decided to head to school on time & leave as soon as i finish the test. sorry to those whom i got in contact with, really hope that you guys would be A ok. Thanks to all who cared and show concern. my fever subsided on sat though im still having bad coughs (: but this meant that im h1n1 free :D

Its feng's 18th birthday! dad have to help out at a temple, so the 3 of us headed out for shopping spree! we shopped from taka all the way to ps. i guess we were heading there without any intentions to buy anything. but in the end, the 3 of us really spured on alot alot of stuff! wahaha. added $xxxx to the GDP :x afterwhich, dad joined us for a wonderful dinner at a chinese restaurant in liang court :D

Dinner with Jas & Feng at Suntec, intentions of celebrating his birthday too. Comex Fair was also held there at that time we were there, so the whole mall was like flooded with people :x But at least we did settle down for a sumptious dinner at this japanese restaurant.

Lunch with roan rick & alvin at Jade Palace! sadly darl cant join us cos i informed him too late :( it was a super filling set lunch for 4 that is made up of tim sums, soup, bee hoon, roasted duck etc etc. This was a celebration for Rick's 21st Birthday, so we treated him to this good meal :D afterwhich we went shopping for awhile before heading to starbucks to chill & camwhore. It was till evening when me and roan have to head hm to study for tests & do projects. This week is our hectic week of tests & project deadlines :x

nevertheless, managed to blog before i end this week. time flies really fast since school reopen. kaylene and davian were super sweet! they dropped a letter under my house door. (my door was inially open, he asked me to close the door. i thought he was having tantrum again, but his mum came out to explain to me. the 2 of them were super excited) dav told me on sat that he has a letter for me, but kept in kaylene's house. so they are here to deliver it to me today! Dav slipped the letter under my door, moved my mini chair to the doorstep, pressed the doorbell twice, and went home. this was how his mum explained to us. i was at the mall for a short while at tat point of time. came back hm and saw those drawings done by them! 1 for marilyn jie jie and 1 for edwin kor kor (: both sealed in an enveloped with a stamp attached!

was home after dinner to watch the national parade at hm as usual. always enjoyed most was the finale, fireworks and the singing part. and this year was special. 8.22pm, a special moment where all singaporeans take the pledge tgt as a nation. the church bells which usually rings every 12noon first of each month, also rang today at 8.22pm. And did i told you cutie davian was born on the same day as Singapore's Birthday? Yes indeed, aug 9! After the whole show ended, i told my mum "davian sure going to cut his cake now", Cos usually his family and relatives would gather at his house to watch the parade and celebrate his birthday! suddenly i heard "MARILYN JIE JIE!!" shouting from opposite! As usual, another week just flew off fast.

To end off 2009 eventful July, i was invited to xinhui's & xueli's 21st last sat 1aug. Luckily both chalet was in coasta sand. xueyi, mi and a few other friends were like hopping ard just to catch the cake cutting. unfortunately, both cut their cakes at the same time! we gave xueli's cake cutting a missed. but once im finished with my cake cutting job at xinhui's party, we rushed over to xeuli's to take photos. The food there was awesome!! looks good and taste even better! though price is a little steep, but was a filling one!

after the heavy meal, we had a bumpy ride to ion. windowed shop and most we see were people! roars! but we'll sure be there again for shopping and food most prob on a weekday. I'm interested in the japan food street down at b4 (:

Im back updating! Time flies and another week has just passed like tat. Managed to have a yummy dinner with sisters at Iluma. Sisters outing are always filled with dumb and gan ga little acts. and of cos lots of laughters! an outing tat makes us HAPPY to the max!

got a sms from bro during class to ask me to tink of place for supper to celebrate daddy's birthday. me and mum tot of holland v. its a really nice place to chill out at night. daddy chose to have ice cream. and we settled down at hagen daz for FONDUE! *slurps slurps* all of us enjoyed the fondue under the moonlight. love my fam fam lots!! its an unexplainable hapiness in within whenever i get to spent potential time with the whole family. i love u, daddy mummy & feng!!

its sat!! and its my dearie book out day!! decided to head to city to have our lunch and hunt for a bag that he has been searching hard for. surprisingly, we managed to spot a nice bag in a shop that we never knew we would get smth from there before. great great! GRINS from cheeck to cheeck on our faces (: there was a mini food fare at the atrium of ms. took a little stroll there and found WAFFLES!!! without thinking twice, we just went to queue. its crushed waffles in a cup, topped with ice cream, choco scrup and peanuts!! i can feel my saliva gushing out as im typing this post. ***SLURPS!!!*** its just simply DE-LI-CIOUS!!! we topped our waffle with mango icecream. YUMMMYY!!!!

afterwhich, i headed hm for a bath and its time to head to xueyi's BD celebration!! as usual, we get to see friends we have not seen for a lllooonngg lloonng time!!! although we didnt talk much, but a simple 'HI' and a smile was nice. the memories during the days at north vista just flowed out (: greatly missed those days! most photos taken are with roan, but i have some here to share. and was happy that xueyi love the pressies that we gave!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY XUEYI!! thanks for the invitation! her mum cooks really good food too! great, no more catered food. haha.. home cooked food is always nicest! and xueyi's cake was really nice too. it was a baby pink key with a heart. maybe will upload more photos if i have the time. we enjoyed ourselves to the max and had lots and lots of photos taken as usual!

hmm.. the latest happening event that happened was the nite cycling last monday nite. we cycled from 8pm to 7am. it was reali exhasting. ECP >> Kallang >> City Hall, Merlion Park >> Lau Pa Sa >> Orchard Road. wanted to go barrage but was too dangerous, there was lots of construction working going through in the middle of the nite. & of cos we took a long rest at Orchard Youth Park. after tat, CYCLE BACK. every one was super tired. had mac for breakfirst before heading hm and my dear says i look like 5 years older after the ride. haha. totally worn out. energy level was zero. took a nap once reached hm. indeed a tiring but unforgettable nite. my cramps lasted me for 2 days! haha

Had the last lunch on 11 june before his enlistment the next day. Went shopping for some barang barang he need to bring in. & we departed. Darl's first book out is on 26 June, evening. awaiting for him to be back (:

Did u know tat its durian season now? the durians are exceptionally fragrant and yummy now. but had 5 times of durian for the past 2 weeks. till im quite sick of it. its a heaty & fattening food. argh!

Had shopping trip with mum on friday. was quite a productive day. its GSS. wahaha. & went to IMM with Jas today. we spent like 2hrs plus in Daiso & still haven get to shop e whole of Daiso. That's reali one of my fav shopping places. But did get hm lots of goodies tat we wanted (:

it was tooooo sweet. super duper sweet. but the kids love them. haha. davian & katheen came over once every 15min to check out on my cookies. once the first few batches are out, dav told his mum "i smell smth nice. i tink its coming from marilyn jie jie's hse" the 2 kids came over for cookie break over at my hse and they love it. one after another, cos davian was hungry. haha. baby clau was having her noon nap. after the clearing up, i was invited to dav's hse to play with all the cute little cupcakes; dav, clau & kath. whole lot of fun with xbox, fishing, colouring, jumping, etc etc. went over to the tennis court in the evening and the fun continues. spent lots of time with cute little toddler clau. she's real cute!!

sunday! it was chu1, so we had vegetarian breakfirst at amk before heading to the flyer with fam fam! very disappointed that the 500 free singtel tickets were given out alr!! we were there as early as we can alr ): but daddy say since we are here, so take it. heart pain!!!! but stil we had fun. after tat, bro & dad went back to office cos machine broke down & they have to repair it before they start work on monday. while mi & mum went for shopping at suntec. we have a BF annual show to catch at raffles hotel later in the afternoon. it was quite a nice concert as ppl sing the oldies, live band with talented youths playing the keyboard & flute. hee (: entertaining show! lastly dinner at a vegetarian restaurant with shou mian and shou tao!

it has been a pretty good sunday playing with dav & clau throughout e day despite e hot hot weather. cant stand the humidity & heat, & u all know i perspire at a rate of 1litre/hour at 34 degrees. but this is life in our homeland; hot, hoter & hotest. we jus hav to appreciate it. nevertheless, mr rainbow repaid all of us with a smile by appearing across e blue sky, over at sk riverside park today. went for a little walk with fam fam before dinner.

Attended JJ world Tour 2009 ytd, it was a BLAST! my first concert after 20 years of my life. Was shocked by a Malaysian radio station DJ came interviewing us when we reached indoor stadium. but we were kind of retarded and not high in mood at tat point. super ps, bet they are going to sensor away our part. The concert started off with a blast at ard 825pm and ended with a touched at 1130pm. All his songs were great, dance moves was a thumb up, all his costumes made him super cute and handsome. Nv realise he was so good looking untill ytd. that dimple and smile of him with a cap made him super attractive! it was full house as expected. invited guest by fan fan and by2 was there. and also special performance by his family. dad played e er hu, mum played e pi pa and bro played the piano while he sang. tears of joy & touched flowed down my cheeks. JJ himself too, dad sang a long part of his song too. He spent his first day of his 28 yrs old with us on this concert. 3 hrs of clapping, singing, cheering, waving light stick, getting high. My favourite part was still looking at him playing on the piano, singing those shu qing songs, while everyone sang tgt with him. He's just so talented. The concert was SUPERB!

WE ARE BACK!

Time really flies, another week has just passed.
at last i managed to do some shopping this week. went to IT fair on fri, darl got his mice, & i gt my mp3 with tonnes of free gifts! yeah!! mr kenny ng is now at IT fair again! i can imagine everyone will be shoulder to shoulder now. argh. gt 2 new songs to prac in band. excited abt the coming concert in June!! first ever nvab concert! cant wait!! (: busy with law proj lately, have many misscommunication between the gp and ms myl as usual. she's always in different frequency with us!

yeah. next week is a non-test week, but still has to work hard for our proj. do many tutorials. its fara's wedding next sun! & wana catch hotel for dogs with darl soon! jus bought 3 tickets to JJ world tour 2009. our first ever pop concert to attend. excited! & also more gatherings coming up. lots of things to look forward to but also lots of stuff to do on my tings to do list.

life have been rather good in sch. bt just becos of ms byl, sch became a total disaster!
god pls help mi!! poor mum and darl, they have to listen to my nagging abt ms byl every single nite i got hm. im serious, every single nite i have to tahan with all her nonsense.

Stop telling lies jus becos u wan to win in every single ting. one day u tell me u wan to find a job, e other day u tell me u hate to work cos going out to have fun is great. one day u tell me u interviewed for a job, one day u dont. one day u said u pass driving, one day u said you gave up half way. one day u say u have 2 bfs, 1 day u tell me you badly wish to have a valentine to spent v.day with. which words tat came out of ur mouth should i believe??
Sorry i have to lie to you everytime my dad came to fetch me home. ever since e first time daddy came and i decided to give you a lift too cos u stayed in sk, no more second time. though i know u sincerly thanked my dad for fetching u home too, but e next day u told me "aiya, so early go home i also duno what to do. i also just slack slack till ard 3am like tat den slp. HAHAHA" ur scacastic tone and ever high pitch laughter always urkes me as usual. fine.
Thanks to you, my 1 and only 'friend' so far in sch, we have difficulty finding a proj gp. guyA was ur poly fren, of cos doing proj with someone u know wouls be good. but too bad he doesnt wan to join us. probably know how tao ren yen u are.

Ytd, u reali made me super angry! u simply drop us a sms at 4pm and ask us to dissucss proj at 6pm! wow.. how amazingly efficient u are! gt out contacts e day before and tada, proj discussion time. lec haven even told us wat to do for e proj, which direction should we head to, and u say u wan to discuss proj. pei fu pei fu. told you i tried by best to rush down but will still be late and will reach ard 630 instead. sorry. u replied u dont wan to see sorry anymore, u dont like ppl apologizing to u. does it mean u dont like ppl to be late?? hack.
reached foodcourt at 630. everyone looking at u muching away ur chicken chop. great! good ting e guys in our gp is great. i rather tok to them than with u. at last i found ppl normal tat i can tok to. we toked abt some brief ideas what we hav to do for our law assignment and self introduce. haha.
lastly, ms byl. stop being BYL! stop showing off your rings, tok loudly unnecessaryly, laugh loudly unnessersaryly, ask such personal qns on e first day i met u, making childish and irrelevant sounds, flirtly high pitch tones, mumbling to urself etc etc.... vroom vroom.

but luckily 3 hrs isn't tat bad. my ren nai du is considered fairly good. just hope i wont get karma saying abt u every single day. but i just have to rang it out if nt i tink i will die. i will try to say less of u and get use to u. and hope i wont be like u after 1.5years becos it urkes ppl at first sight.
